Ericsson named Revenue Management Solution Leader by Analysys Mason

Ericsson cited as worldwide leader in revenue management product revenue in Analysys Mason’s annual report on revenue management market share
Report also ranks Ericsson first globally in prepaid billing and mediation
Top ranking demonstrates strong global demand for Ericsson’s market-leading products and expertise
Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) today announced that it has been named by Analysys Mason as the worldwide product revenue leader in the firm’s annual report on the revenue management systems market. The report also ranked Ericsson first in worldwide market share by revenue for prepaid billing as well as for mediation systems. Ericsson’s leading rankings reinforce the company’s dominant position in the expanding USD 6.57 billion revenue-management market.

"Ericsson’s significant worldwide installed base, global sales presence and established managed and professional services, contributed to the company’s market-share leadership position," said Justin van der Lande, Senior Analyst, Analysys Mason. "Their comprehensive product portfolio and strong product platform that supports prepaid, contract, and convergent billing, combined with using its own services organization, offer customers a strong proposition in the market."

The revenue management systems tracked by Analysys Mason are at the core of all telecoms service offerings, providing the charging functions for communications service providers’ services. The findings were published in the Revenue management systems: worldwide market shares 2012 report issued in August.

"Operators are increasingly taking an end-to-end approach to their mediation, charging, policy, and billing needs to address evolving challenges around competition, high consumer demand for personalized services, and ARPU (average revenue per user)," said Per Borgklint, head of Ericsson’s Support Solutions business. "Our continued market share leadership reflects more than one thousand billing and revenue management solutions that we have deployed globally to help support more than 2 billion subscribers worldwide."

Ericsson’s billing and revenue management products are strategic enablers for operators that drive efficiency across all operations, enabling operators to charge and bill all types of network service technologies, payment methods, and customer and business partner types within a single system. This ensures greater business process efficiency, allowing operators to reduce IT capital expenditure along with all the associated maintenance costs as they roll out mobile broadband services and create superior customer experiences. Ericsson’s comprehensive, pre-integrated suite of BSS products and solutions are designed to support integrated, end-to-end business processes.
