South Korean government criticizes U.S. over old Samsung proucts ban

The Korean government decided to express disappointment this Wednesday on U.S. President Barack Obama’s decision not to veto an import ban on some old mobile products of Samsung Electronics.

It is regrettable that the U.S. government made different decisions related to patent infringement in a situation where Samsung and Apple are globally competing in the mobile telecommunications sector.

It is regretful that the import ban was imposed on some Samsung products from being imported into the U.S., which could put a limit on choice for American consumers and restrict competition.

In August, the U.S. International Trade Commission imposed a ban on imports of some legacy products, saying they infringed on Apple’s patents. Last resort to stop this ban was President Obama to veto it and that id not happened.

To be honest impact of this decision is minor as the affected devices are around two years old and this means there are two generations of same line newer products on the market.
